About Glenaladale Festival
The Glenaladale Heritage Trust is an extraordinary group that managed to save the original farm lands of early Scottish Settler Capt. John MacDonald. The settlers arrived in 1772 on the banks of Tracadie Bay and this June will mark the 250th anniversary of their arrival. Certainly a great moment to reflect on the past 250 years of Scottish culture and community on PEI. Through phased development, Glenaladale will become a premier destination for rural culture, community engagement, and living history. A vibrant educational and cultural centre will include a diverse range of activities focused on ancestral connections, cultural experiences, and agricultural & environmental sustainability.
You'll see on our website the many efforts of the community over the past 10 years to get this vision off the ground.
